Since opening its doors in March 2021, Lux Glam Bar has built a reputation for providing luxury-inspired beauty services in a welcoming environment where every guest feels valued.

Offering everything from nails, lashes, brows, waxing, and spray tanning to customized beauty experiences, the salon has become a destination for clients seeking both exceptional service and a boost in confidence.

I recently had the opportunity to speak with owner Nikki Wine about her journey, the inspiration behind Lux Glam Bar, the challenges of entrepreneurship, and her mission to create a space where beauty, self-care, and community come together.

 

Tell us a little about yourself and what inspired you to open Lux Glam Bar.

My name is Nikki Wine, and I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 13 years. I’ve always felt grateful for the talent and passion I’ve been blessed with, and it’s something I’ve been able to build my career and business around.

What inspired me to open Lux Glam Bar was my love for beauty, but even more so, my passion for people. I wanted to create a space where women could come to feel confident, cared for, and beautiful. At the same time, I wanted to create opportunities for beauty professionals to build successful careers and increase their income without feeling like they had to start their own businesses to do so. Lux Glam Bar was built to support both our guests and our artists, and that remains at the heart of everything we do.

 

Lux Glam Bar opened in March 2021. What was your vision when you first started the business?

My vision was to create more than just a salon. I wanted to build a place where guests felt welcomed and valued, and where beauty professionals felt supported, respected, and empowered. I wanted a space that combined high-quality services with genuine relationships, a strong team culture, and an environment people genuinely wanted to be part of.

 

Why was it important for you to create a woman-owned business in the beauty industry?

Women wear so many hats every day, and I wanted to create a business that truly understood and supported them. Being a woman-owned business allows me to lead with empathy while creating opportunities for other women to grow personally, professionally, and financially. Supporting women has always been one of the driving forces behind Lux Glam Bar.

 

What makes Lux Glam Bar different from other salons in the area?

What makes us different is our people. We focus heavily on relationships, both within our team and with our guests. Each artist brings their own unique artistry, which allows every service to feel personal and customized. We’re not just providing services; we’re creating experiences and building connections.

 

Your salon offers everything from nails and lashes to waxing and spray tanning. How important was it to create a one-stop beauty destination?

It was very important. Life is busy, and I wanted to make self-care as convenient as possible. We offer a full range of services in one place so guests can address multiple beauty needs during a single visit with professionals they trust. We also offer convenient hours, staying open until 8 p.m. and operating on Sundays, so guests can fit self-care into their schedules more easily.

 

The beauty industry is constantly evolving. How do you stay current with new trends, techniques, and services?

Education never stops in this industry. I regularly invest in training, certifications, and continuing education for both myself and our team. We’re always looking for ways to improve our skills and bring the best services to our guests. I truly believe it’s important to honor the talents you’ve been given by continuing to grow and refine them.

 

What are some of the most popular services your guests request today?

Lash extensions continue to be one of our most popular services, along with hard gel nails, waxing, spray tanning, lash lifts, and customized brow services. Guests love treatments that help them feel polished and confident while simplifying their daily routines.

 

Lux Glam Bar emphasizes personalized experiences. Why is customization so important when it comes to beauty services?

Every guest is different. Their features, lifestyle, goals, and preferences all matter. Beauty isn’t one-size-fits-all. Taking the time to customize services creates better results and helps each guest feel truly seen, understood, and cared for.

 

Building a strong team is never easy. What qualities do you look for when bringing beauty professionals into your salon?

Skill is important, but character is everything. I look for people who are kind, coachable, dependable, motivated, and team-oriented. Each artist also has their own unique artistry, and what makes our team so strong is that we don’t just work alongside one another—we grow together. We support one another, learn from each other, and help each other elevate both personally and professionally. The right culture is built by the right people.

 

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a business owner, and how did you overcome it?

One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to lead people while continuing to grow the business. It has required patience, personal growth, and the ability to adapt my leadership style to different personalities and situations. I’ve learned how important it is to stay grounded, communicate clearly, and handle challenges with grace while still protecting the vision of the business. Every season has taught me something new about leadership.

 

What has been your proudest moment since opening Lux Glam Bar?

My proudest moments have been seeing the growth of both the business and the women behind it. Watching my team members buy homes, purchase cars, grow their families, and take trips while building careers they’re proud of is something I will always cherish. Being part of their journey and their success is just as meaningful as anything else.

We’ve built something that has generated more than $1.8 million in sales, but more importantly, we’ve created real opportunities for women to build stable, successful lives for themselves. That’s what I’m most proud of.

 

How important are confidence and self-care in today’s fast-paced world?

They’re essential. So many people spend their lives taking care of everyone else. Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. When people take time for themselves, they feel better, show up differently, and carry that confidence into every area of their lives.

 

Many women dream of owning their own business. What advice would you give aspiring entrepreneurs looking to take that leap?

Don’t wait until you feel completely ready because that moment may never come. Trust your vision, stay consistent, work hard, and be willing to grow through the process. Faith, patience, and persistence go a long way when it comes to building something meaningful.

 

How has the Cranberry Township community supported Lux Glam Bar since its opening?

The support has been incredible. We’ve grown largely through referrals, loyal guests, and word of mouth. Our community has trusted us with some of their most important moments, and we’re incredibly grateful for those relationships.

We also make it a priority to give back through donations, food drives, and support for local charities. We even keep a food donation box outside the salon for anyone in need because supporting our community goes both ways.

 

Looking ahead, what are your goals for Lux Glam Bar over the next five years?

My goal is to continue growing our team, creating opportunities for beauty professionals, and elevating the guest experience. I want Lux Glam Bar to continue being a place where both guests and artists thrive—not just through services, but through culture, opportunity, and growth.

 

Outside of business, what motivates and inspires you personally?

My family, my faith, and personal growth inspire me every day. I’m motivated by building something meaningful and creating a positive impact on the people around me. Helping others succeed is one of the most fulfilling parts of what I do.

 

What do you hope every guest feels when they walk out of Lux Glam Bar?

I hope they feel confident, refreshed, valued, and cared for. I want them to love their service, but more importantly, I want them to feel better when they leave than they did when they arrived.
